In response to the lack of queer representation in public spaces\u2014particularly within the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm\u2014I have created a wall relief envisioned for the museum\u2019s entrance hall. This work serves as a critique of public institutions and their ongoing failure to provide inclusive representation and accessibility.<\/p>\n
Within the Nationalmuseum, depictions of male and female bodies are heavily dominated by the male gaze, often portrayed in the nude and rooted in outdated ideals and norms. While the museum aims to narrate history, it falls short in offering a queer perspective on the present, thereby missing an opportunity to foster education and dialogue around these themes.
