Through the practice of charring tree trunks and by capturing the &#8220;voice&#8221; of fire\u2014its crackling, sparking, and roaring sounds\u2014I aim to immerse the viewer in the visceral experience of combustion. The sound recordings, paired with the charred remains of the trees, serve as physical evidence of the fire\u2019s passage, each mark and trace left behind testifying to nature\u2019s inherent impermanence. The act of burning symbolises not only destruction but also transformation, as the fire both consumes and alters the material.
