Departing from the metaphor of nature as mother, the work suggests a more intimate and reciprocal relation\u2014nature as lover. Drawing on theories of perception, place, and the limitations of language, it reflects on the cultural divide between humans and the more-than-human world: plants, animals, landscapes. The viewer peers into the structure through a mirror dome to watch a film in which the body\u2014its skin, textures, movements\u2014is treated as a landscape. Memory and desire unfold across its surface.
