Fantastic cold bathhouses can be found all over Sweden, except in Stockholm. It\u2019s strange that Stockholm, with all its water and islands, doesn\u2019t have one.
\nIn my degree project, I\u2019m designing a proposal for a cold bathhouse. Tullen\u2019s Cold Bathhouse is located at Hornstull Strand where Liljeholmsbadet is today. Instead of a floating bathhouse, it will be a cold bathhouse with a stronger connection to the water, allowing you to swim directly in the lake.
\nSaunas and cold water bathing have been in public demand for a long time. I want to create new meeting places on the water.
\nCold baths have been long used as cures as well as other health reasons and research has shown several positive health effects. Cold baths can enable social sustainability by creating meeting places where class, gender or status have no significance.
