we will come from somewhere (past)
we will be (present)
we will all move on (future)
The Girl and the Weed is a collection of three installations containing light, text, sculpture and sound. Each installation depicts a scene in the story.
In the Home, we encounter the beginning, that which has been and that which is remembered. A selection of what has shaped us, an origin story for our narrative.
In the Lake flows the state of being, the real living, the water of life.
In the Garden, we see dreams and nightmares. The belief in what is on the path further ahead.
The artwork is a narrative that moves between these times and spaces. The protagonist we follow is the girl. The girl carries loneliness with her. The rooms depict the stages when the girl meets her counterpart – consolation.
