Aesthetic Intelligence is an artistic exploration of how artificial intelligence and generative design can interact in the creation of both objects and spaces. By designing a piece of furniture in dialogue with a digital, virtual space, the project examines how aesthetic decisions can arise in interaction between human and machine. The physical and the virtual forms emerge in parallel through algorithmic processes in which AI functions as a co-creator rather than a tool. The project moves in the borderland between interior architecture, digital aesthetics and design philosophy, and asks questions about what it means to create with intelligence – and how this affects our understanding of form, materiality and space.
