My degree project focuses on a form analysis of automotive manufacturer Polestar, and on finding an innovative way to design and produce a motorcycle.
Inspired by the scorpion exoskeleton, which provides a strong and lightweight outer construction, and by using biocomposite materials, I can integrate function and aesthetics in the supporting outer shell. This enables a reduction in material usage, which contributes to less environmental impact than traditional manufacturing methods. By combining biomimicry, sustainability and modern design, I aim to create a motorcycle that is not only functional and aesthetically appealing but also challenges the norms in motorcycle manufacturing.
This project highlights the possibilities between nature, technology and design.
