My degree project explores the community mural Bigger Than You Think, located on the exterior of Folkets Husby, as a living archive and a space where Husby’s stories, history, and collective memory come together. Created ten years ago as a collaboration between over 200 residents, local artists, and organisers, the mural has since become a symbol of the neighbourhood’s identity, creativity, and community.

Through a video work and an expanding archive, my degree project examines how artistic methods can contribute to the preservation, reinterpretation and activation of collective memory. What role can art play in the development of archive-based initiatives?

Developed in collaboration with Folkets Husby, my degree project engages with local residents and community members in an ongoing process of storytelling and archival work.
