THE WORLD IS TOO ORANGE
A globe bathed in orange from a sunset – a colour that may seem warm and hopeful. But what is hiding behind the glow of this colour? When you look more closely at the globe, you’ll discover a world shaped by marching soldiers, toxic emissions, devastated homes and stains of destruction, spread out over the continents. Why do some parts shine brighter than others? What do the orange spots mean?
This exhibition reveals that the world is not as ‘orange’ as we might think. Behind the glow lies a deeper, more uncomfortable truth – and it is this truth that I investigate here. I have asked myself: how does the world actually look when we lift away the illusion?
