I see and ponder what I can’t quite explain, and I use painting and image construction as a physical form of thought. Generating new thoughts by processing them, and finding experiences of nature that are worth depicting, as I feel that they possess something more than just their own state of being. I love the place it creates. By interpreting a reality through two dimensions, below ourselves, a distance is created between us and the painting, where the indefinite can take shape in a controlled format. Become someone in the room.
Images in wood, of wood, where you can see all building blocks of the image as actual things. Every little detail is not just a representation of what it is attempting to depict, but also an actual object that shows itself exactly as it is. A duality exists in every tiny part.
