What happens to an industry when 500 years of expertise suddenly ceases to exist? What happens to those who were replaced yesterday — by the tools of tomorrow? What can the designers of today learn from the silent knowledge embedded in those of years passed? Does the industry of visual communication become less aware of its historical context in the over-saturation of computer generated imagery or are we — the skeptics — simply luddites?
