The Colour reflection effect: How to control it and how it can be used

Color reflection occurs naturally in our environment. Surfaces absorb parts of the color spectrum when a light beam interacts with them and we perceive a colored surface, but they also reflect portions of their colour onto nearby surfaces. These reflections are influenced by several factors: the type and direction of the light source, the color and properties of the reflected surface, and the characteristics of the surface receiving the reflection.

In this thesis, I have searched for situations where colour reflections arise and explored how this effect can be consciously created and utilized in spatial contexts. From my investigations I have made two series of spatial elements: seventeen ceiling panel lamps and four vertical blinds.
