In my degree project, I ask how we work with images in the classroom and how we communicate with these images, may there be a need for images in the subject that do not yet exist, and is it possible to create aids for those who may find the subject difficult. As a future art teacher, I have an interest in the communicative ability of images and how images can communicate without words. I want to show the importance of the non-communicative and give images a voice. I also highlight how images shape our learning.
In my degree project, I develop an example of how to work with images for a communicative purpose in the classroom with material created during two workshops with eight grade students from two different schools. I illustrate the different terms used to create an image bank as an aid in the visual subject.
